Swag From the Saint Patrick’s Day Shamrock Shuffle

From California to New Jersey, Saint Patrick’s Day-themed running races abound on or around the annual March holiday. These events – many of which are dubbed “shamrock shuffles” – present prime opportunity for swag sales.

As such, I decided to roll out of bed early this Padraig’s Day, throw on my granddad’s Donegal Tweed cap, and make the half-hour drive to the Newtown Shamrock Shuffle 5K & Irish Festival in Newtown, Pa. to check out the branded merchandise on offer.

I wasn’t disappointed in the merch – or the event, which featured at least 630 runners, live Irish music, frothy pints of stout from event co-organizer Green Parrot Pub, and a hearty Irish breakfast from the same fine establishment. Check out some of the logoed gear I spotted below – everything from scarves and beanies, to race shirts, tees, hoodies and runners’ medals. Maybe it will be inspiration for Irish/Celtic-themed promotions you’ll soon be doing.
