Gemline Partners With Retail Brand Be Home

The Top 40 supplier will be carrying what’s described as handcrafted, ethically sourced home goods from the California-based company.

Be Home says it has been making ethically sourced, handcrafted home goods for 16 years.

Now, Gemline (asi/56070) is bringing the California-based retail brand to the promotional products industry through a just-announced strategic partnership.

The Top 40 supplier will be carrying Be Home products that include marble coasters, stoneware containers and measuring cups, a cocktail shaker and a hanging bar tool set, among other items.

“Be Home’s commitment to design innovation and quality, and the fact their founders have focused on building relationships with family and women-owned artisan groups, multi-generational craftsmen and independent makers, really resonated with us,” said Gemline President Frank Carpenito. “We believe it will resonate with our distributor partners and their customers as well.”

Be Home designs products in house in northern California. The brand then works with what it described as independent makers around the world who handcraft the goods in small batches. Be Home products are sold in more than 2,000 retail accounts, including Williams-Sonoma, Anthropologie, Magnolia Market and West Elm.

The retail brand is excited about the partnership with Gemline.

“Be Home and Gemline align on many levels, including sustainability and social responsibility, making it a sensible collaboration,” the company said in statement. “We are extremely honored to be selected to join their portfolio and expansion in the lifestyle and home categories. We very much appreciate the possibility to work with their team in bringing beautiful, handcrafted product into customers’ homes.”

Driven in part by end-buyer demand, a growing number of suppliers have been bringing more retail brands to the promo products market. Gemline has been at the forefront of that initiative, partnering with a range of retail brands in recent years, from Govino and Out of the Woods to Stonewall Kitchen.

Based on reported 2021 North American promotional product revenue of $127.5 million, Gemline ranked 10th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
