ASI Offers Free Virtual Gym Classes to Members

Staying active is a crucial aspect of maintaining a healthy outlook, but stay-at-home measures instituted across the country to combat the coronavirus have made hitting the gym an impossibility for many. Sure, you can still go out for a run around the block or jump rope on your back porch, but sometimes it’s nice to have expert guidance and outside motivation to help you make the most of your workout. That’s why ASI has started offering free live fitness classes online to all members this week.

“Knowing the importance of exercise and activities when so many of us are housebound, ASI is happy to offer our members free access to live fitness classes they can take, by themselves or with their family,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI.

The virtual classes are being led by ASI’s in-house gym, All Fitness, and conducted via the Zoom videoconferencing app. No special equipment is required, though water and an exercise mat are recommended. Each day during the workweek, three or four classes are scheduled, with each class lasting either 15 or 30 minutes. There are quick, high-intensity cardio workouts to help get your heart pumping, mid-morning stretches to help you feel more energized and productive the rest of the day, full-body strength training and more targeted training as well.
