Instagram Takeover: The T-Shirt Guys

What’s a typical day in the shop for the nine employees of The T-Shirt Guys in Grapevine, TX? We let Dan DeHart, the brand's creative guru and social media manager, take over the Wearables Instagram page so we could find out. Turns out, it involves some sweet baked treats and even sweeter neon threads.

The T-Shirt Guys, a 20-year-old family-owned business, considers screen printing its “bread and butter,” and operates two M&R automatic presses along with an M&R manual. The shop also offers embroidery and promotional products. Though it’s made a push to increase its corporate clientele recently, most clients are local schools, churches, restaurants and other small businesses. “We love the city we are in and do our best to maintain our residence as The T-Shirt Guys for Grapevine,” DeHart says.

Being based in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth region has its perks, DeHart says, but it also means competing with a lot of other printers. “We truly believe in ‘coopetition’ and viewing others as our ‘brothers/sisters in community,’ but one thing we do better than most is turnaround jobs quickly,” he adds. “Over and over again, we’re praised for our speed and actually chosen because of it over a potentially lower price from somewhere else.”
