Koozie Group Partners With GCI Outdoor

The Top 40 supplier is now selling select chairs from the outdoor lifestyle retail brand.

And the connections between promotional products suppliers and retail brands keep on coming.

Koozie Group (asi/40480), a Top 40 supplier, has partnered with GCI Outdoor, a retail brand that specializes in selling chairs suited to the outdoor lifestyle.

The Freestyle Rocker (26279) is one of the GCI Outdoor products Koozie Group is selling.

“GCI Outdoor’s first-of-their-kind products are widely sought after by retail consumers for their comfort, quality and durability,” said Pierre Montaubin, senior vice president of product management and sourcing at Koozie Group.

Montaubin continued: “We’re thrilled to be working with the leading brand in the category. We’ve gone the extra mile to ensure the chairs we’re selling are Prop 65 compliant and that there’s a large area for customer imprints.”

Founded more than 25 years ago, GCI Outdoor makes and sells chairs with what executives described as innovative and practical features for campers, tailgaters, beachgoers and sports spectators.

Koozie Group recently launched its offerings from GCI Outdoor. Products include a stool, stadium seat and two rockers, specifically the Quik-E-Seat (26280), BleacherBack Stadium Seat (26277), Kickback Rocker (26278) and Freestyle Rocker (26279).

“Every GCI Outdoor chair is carefully designed with its end use in mind,” Koozie Group said in a statement. “For example, patented spring-loaded shocks in the rocking chairs allow for smooth motion on soft, hard and uneven terrain. One hallmark of all GCI Outdoor chairs is their bagless design that relies on an integrated carrying strap for portability.”

Jeff Polke, president of GCI Outdoor, said Koozie Group is the right supplier to bring the brand’s products to the promo products space.

“Our sister companies ORCA and PrideSports have worked with Koozie Group very successfully,” Polke shared. “When we were exploring entering the promotional products sphere, they were the obvious choice.”

Demand for retail products has been growing rapidly in promo. Suppliers have been forging more partnerships with retail brands to meet the need. Koozie Group has been in the thick of the movement, partnering with brands like ORCA and Tervis.

Based on reported 2021 North American promo product revenue of $300 million, Koozie Group ranked sixth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry.
