Givenly.com Launches Personalized Gift Catalogs Using AI

The Chicago-based distributor created a proprietary algorithm to make a customized digital list of products for corporate gifts and incentives.

Givenly.com (asi/155107) is trying to make the corporate gift-giving experience a little more personal – with the help of artificial intelligence.

The Chicago-based distributor recently added a gift catalog generator – powered by a proprietary AI algorithm – to its so-called “Redemption Portal.” The portal itself, which was launched this spring, lets clients create a hyper-personalized digital experience for recipients on a mass scale, says Mark Mancini, founder and CEO of Givenly.com. That includes things like video greetings, individualized and branded welcome emails, and landing pages.

The gift catalog generator takes things a step further, giving clients the ability to instantly tailor gift selection to the recipient or occasion. “Just tell the system a few details about the sending occasion and the desired price point, and it will return back a curated selection of gifts to instantly attach to the redemption,” according to Givenly.com.

There are other corporate gift redemption platforms, Mancini says, but he believes many offer “a really generic, one-size-fits-all redemption for everybody.” He adds: “The reason why ours is very different than what’s on the market is kind of the rapid level of personalization around the whole experience.”

Mancini calls the AI catalog generator “the crowning achievement of our redemption solution tool.”

“If I knew you liked cats or mountains or something, I could create a redemption experience mimicking that,” he adds. “So maybe you hit the landing page and there would be a GIF of a mountain and my video saying thanks for the meeting. The AI catalog generator takes it a step further where I can ask the system to give me five gifts in the $60 range that have to do with mountain climbing and then it will instantly serve up a catalog to me that I can attach to the redemption.”

In the new year, Mancini plans to turn Givenly.com’s redemption platform into a software as a service solution for promotional products distributors who want to make a bigger push into corporate gifts and incentives.
