Industry Vet Scott Anderson Joins NC Custom

Anderson will head up the Top 40 supplier’s program business.

Top 40 supplier NC Custom (asi/44900) has added promotional products industry veteran Scott Anderson to its senior sales team as program business development specialist.

With three decades of promo experience, Anderson will target specific strategic accounts with a goal of expanding NC Custom’s product placement within corporate programs. The supplier says Anderson’s hiring furthers its push to expand its reach and recognition within the industry.

“We are excited to add a top talent like Scott Anderson to our sales team,” said Lance Stier, chairman and CEO of NC Custom. “Scott has a proven track record of delivering growth in programs and key strategic accounts. We’re excited for him to partner closely with our sales leadership across the U.S. and Canada to drive strategic, top-line growth.”

David Miller, president of NC Custom, agrees: “Scott exhibits the same traits that are consistent throughout our organization – service and communication. He will dive into the program business of many of our distributor partners and assist them in supporting their client needs in every aspect.”

Most recently, Anderson served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Facilisgroup, a partnering community and software-as-a-service company for the promo industry. He also spent more than 20 years at Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA; asi/78897), where he served in multiple sales roles to help foster growth in its apparel and hard goods business.

“I am so excited to be part of the NC Custom team,” Anderson said. “With a product mix that addresses 85% of product sold in our space, including apparel, and a team that will do anything possible to support their customers, the sky is the limit.”

NC Custom says it has invested heavily in building a leading domestic, multi-category manufacturing operation in the past decade. Anderson’s focus will be driving sales across this platform, including to two recent core initiatives: ACE USA and Creatively Kitted. ACE, which NC Custom acquired in 2020, is a resort merchandise collections supplier, combining apparel, hard goods and accessories. The line, which includes a giveback to the National Park Foundation, differentiates itself by bringing a resort vibe to classic basics, according to NC Custom. Creatively Kitted is the supplier’s best-selling kitting line, which combines products across edibles, hard goods and apparel with thematic branding and on-trend design.

NC Custom ranked 18th on Counselor’s most recent list of the top suppliers in the industry, with 2021 North American promo revenue of $73 million. The supplier manufactures more than 3,000 items, ranging across confectionery, mints, chocolate, hard goods, health and beauty, wellness and premium apparel and soft goods.
