ASB Hosts First-Ever ‘Accelerate’ Event

The in-person meeting brought together key suppliers and sales pros from the Top 40 distributorship together for what organizers described as high-value networking and idea exchanges.

American Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075) has debuted a new event for connecting its sales associates with high-quality suppliers.

The Top 40 distributor recently hosted its first-ever Accelerate. The event featured 27 supplier partners that hosted what the Glenwood, MN-headquartered company described as suite-style meetings with a group of 60 ASB sales associates.

ASB’s first-ever Accelerate event featured 27 supplier partners and 60 of the distributorship’s sales associates.

Organizers said the format allowed for in-depth conversations on everything from products and trends to how to best service end-clients. ASB held the event in Minneapolis.

“After relying heavily on virtual resources the last couple years, it’s so exciting to see valuable in-person engagement between ASB salespeople and our supplier partners,” said Dan Zezzo, ASB’s vice president of marketing, vendor relations and events

During Accelerate, attendees had the option to attend a facility tour at personal-care product supplier Mixie, which is part of Top 40 firm HPG (asi/61966). There was also a tasting experience at the hotel featuring products from food-gift specialist Maple Ridge Farms (asi/68680).

Furthermore, Accelerate featured organized socials where attendees could network and relax after a day of education. ASB also hosted charity efforts to support non-profit organization Reading4Research, in which attendees participated in a supplier-supported raffle.

“Early feedback,” said Zezzo, “indicates Accelerate was a positive experience for all involved.”

ASB ranked eighth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry, with 2020 North American promotional products revenue of $238.3 million. The 2022 Top 40 list will be revealed this July.
