VisionUSA Offers Solar-Powered Headphones

The supplier has partnered with audio technology company Urbanista to offer wireless, self-charging headphones and earbuds.

Just in time for summer, VisionUSA (asi/80060) is bringing a bright idea into promo: solar-powered wireless headphones and earbuds.

The Dallas-based supplier has partnered with Urbanista, a Swedish technology brand that specializes in lifestyle audio technology, to offer the Los Angeles solar-powered headphones (URB-LA) and Phoenix solar-powered earbuds (URB-PHOENIX) to the promotional products industry.

According to VisionUSA, the products “are designed to revolutionize the way we experience audio while reducing our carbon footprint.” They feature integrated solar panels that efficiently convert solar energy into extended playtime, the supplier notes.

Urbanista says its Los Angeles headphones and Phoenix earbuds continuously charge when exposed to any form of light, both outdoors and indoors. The products employ Exeger Powerfoyle, which Urbanista describes as “an advanced solar cell material that’s lightweight and durable and can convert any light into clean, endless energy.” Urbanista’s app includes a live tracking feature so users can monitor the “gain and drain” of their headphones’ power.

VisionUSA has been adding more eco-friendly items to its lineup recently. In April, the supplier partnered with Ball Corporation to offer recyclable aluminum drinkware. VisionUSA has been providing brandable merchandise for about 20 years, and has also partnered with Corkcicle and Weber. VisionUSA’s offerings include drinkware, desk accessories, bags and technology items.
