Top 40 supplier HUB Promotional Group (asi/61966) has acquired Canada-based Debco (asi/48885), the companies announced today. Financial terms of the deal, which was finalized on June 13, were not disclosed. Going forward, the Debco leadership team of Steven, Stan and Debbi Gallen will remain in their current roles to help support the integration into HUB.
“Debco has worked very hard to consistently provide value to their customers, and their record of being voted PPPC Supplier of the Year in Canada for 22 out of 24 years is simply amazing,” said Joe Fleming, HUB’s president. We’re pleased to now stand together with Debco and introduce their fine product line to the U.S. market. This is also a great opportunity for HUB to tap into their manufacturing and distribution channel in Canada for our own product offerings.”
Debco also announced today that it will be relocating to a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Vaughan, Ontario in the fall. Debco will add the HUB pen line to its Canadian production facility later in 2018.
“It was very important to us that we partner with a firm that shares our values and is committed to extending and accelerating our growth in Canada and the U.S.,” said Debco President Steven Gallen. “Joining HUB provides us with the resources and the support to promise more and deliver more to our customers.”
HUB’s expanding portfolio of brands also includes Beacon (asi/39250), Best USA (asi/40344) and Cooler Graphics (asi/80345). Based in Braintree, MA, HUB reported 2017 North American promo products sales of $103.5 million, a year-over-year rise of 38%.
