BamBams Acquires Visual Promotions

The supplier says the deal will help it expand its print-on-demand capabilities.

Manassas, VA-based BamBams (asi/38228) has acquired Sealy, TX, supplier Visual Promotions (asi/93997). Financial terms of the deal, which was made official on July 7, were not disclosed.

“The opportunity made sense because of the meaningful synergies, adding significant production capacity and new products to our business,” said Dan Taylor, president and CEO of BamBams.

Visual Promotions’ current staff will continue to operate as usual, and the BamBams team will add Visual Promotions product offerings and service to the mix. Jeff Brandes, owner and president of Visual Promotions, will assist with the transition, while turning his focus to his industry-based software business Schedule Key, which offers business management, webstore creation and other services.

Louie Massaro, a promo industry veteran, will join BamBams as general manager of the new acquisition.

The acquisition of Visual Promotions will give BamBams an edge when it comes to print-on-demand capabilities, according to Brock Taylor, chief operating officer of BamBams. He adds that Visual Promotions’ POD capabilities are fully integrated with Schedule Key software.

“After expanding in on-demand products in 2022 with our Bolt Line, this acquisition moves us toward our goal of becoming an industry leader in POD,” Taylor said.

Mergers and acquisitions in the promotional products industry have been a frequent occurrence over the last few years. Earlier this month, for example, Attleboro, MA-based Pin Machine (asi/78133) acquired the assets of Tampa, FL-headquartered Gempire (asi/55610). And in late June, Top 40 distributor BDA (asi/137616) expanded its global footprint by acquiring top Germany-based promo distributor ipm | gruppe.
