Tentree plants 10 trees for every item sold.

Options for apparel with a true sustainability story to tell just expanded in the promotional products industry.

Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/78897) has forged a partnership with tentree, a sustainable apparel brand that creates on-trend clothing and headwear from sustainable materials and plants 10 trees for every item sold.

PCNA’s Trimark brand is carrying 16 tentree styles, including T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants and a hat. Each tentree style, which can be found at pcna.com, is ethically manufactured and made from sustainable materials, executives said.

In a statement, PCNA said the partnership with tentree supports the supplier’s mission of bringing more sustainable items to the North American promotional products market.

Kate Boyce, vice president of PCNA Apparel, noted that anyone who receives a tentree product can track the trees planted from the sale of the item by registering a provided “tree code” at tentree.com.

“What an amazing way to see just how easy it can be to make a difference,” Boyce said. “Tentree is a company dedicated to making a more sustainable future. … We’re incredibly excited to share their mission with our distributor partners and cannot wait to see the impact we can make together.”

Through partnerships with charitable organizations across the world, tentree has planted millions of trees and helped to rehabilitate natural ecosystems, executives said.

“We believe that big changes start small and in talking with the team at PCNA, we saw firsthand how they are making changes as an organization to bring more eco-friendly and sustainable items to the promotional products industry,” said Derrick Emsley, co-founder and CEO of tentree. “We’re thrilled to bring a selection of our styles to the promo marketplace.”

PCNA ranked fourth on Counselor’s just-released new list of the 40 largest suppliers in the promotional products industry based on 2020 North American promo revenue of $512.3 million.
