HPG Partners With Master & Dynamic

The Top 40 supplier has forged an exclusive partnership that will allow it to provide Master & Dynamic’s luxury audio products to promo.

HPG (asi/61966) has a first for the promotional products industry.

The Top 40 supplier has announced an exclusive partnership with New York City-based Master & Dynamic, a maker of personal audio products like headphones and earphones. The deal enables HPG to be the first supplier to offer the premium brand to the promotional products market, executives said.

The Massachusetts-headquartered supplier, which has locations throughout North America, will provide Master & Dynamic headphones and earphones at one-piece minimums, with 48-hour delivery times. A special gift message can be included in every order, HPG noted.

“As a consumer, I’ve been a fan of Master & Dynamic for years and I honestly couldn’t be happier to bring them into the promo industry,” said Jason Lucash, HPG’s chief development officer. “We’re excited to make the brand available at the exact right time. We know everyone is looking for new and different holiday gift options and Master & Dynamic offers products that pretty much anyone would be thrilled to receive.”

HPG is selling Master & Dynamic through its HPG Exclusive Line, which launched in February. As the name suggests, the collection features products that HPG alone offers to promo, with an emphasis on providing what Lucash has described as “best-in-class brands.”

Master & Dynamic fits that bill, he related. Jonathan Levine, a serial consumer products entrepreneur, founded the brand with the goal of crafting superior-class headphones that pair a timeless aesthetic with pristine sound quality. He was inspired to do so after building a recording studio in his office to support his shared passion with his music-loving son – Robert, a DJ/music producer.

“While touring colleges, they came across a pair of World War II aviator headphones in a museum and could not help but notice how elegant and timeless the headphones looked,” a company bio related. “In that moment, Jonathan decided he wanted to design and build headphones that in 50 years would also stand the test of time.”

Since launching in 2014, Master & Dynamic has expanded its core product offerings and collaborated with global brands, from Lamborghini and soccer powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain to rock legends The Rolling Stones. Master & Dynamic is also a longtime sponsor of the arts program at the Harlem Village Academies, a public charter school network in Harlem.

“Master & Dynamic is a true niche brand with incredibly high standards that raise the bar for everyone,” said Lucash.

Within the last couple years, HPG and other leading suppliers have increasingly been bringing high-quality name brand retail products to promo. It’s a trend many distributors want to see continued.  “Clients are receptive to the brands and want to co-brand with them,” Joseph Sommer, the owner/founder of Whitestone Branding (asi/359741), recently told ASI Media.

With reported 2020 North American promotional product revenue of $169.8 million, HPG ranked 10th on Counselor’s most recent list of the industry’s 40 largest suppliers.
