ASI Fort Worth 2023: 5 Cool Hard Good Finds for Spring & Summer

These products were among the many awesome items on display at the industry’s largest trade show in the southwest. They can help power client initiatives in the warmer months ahead.

Planning ahead is planning to win.

So while it’s not even February yet, promotional products distributors that want to get an edge on the competition can do so by getting to work on client spring and summer promotions now. These products, spotted at ASI Show Fort Worth 2023 (Jan. 23-25), can help fuel the initiatives.

Portable Adventure Chair

Trippy Outdoor (asi/92145) is new to the promotional products industry and made its debut at the ASI Show Fort Worth – the hip brand’s hometown. The flagship product is a patented, USA-made portable chair. Co-founder Kyle Rose gave a breakdown of the lightweight chair on the show floor, explaining how its seat can be removed and stored on the chairback when transporting, then easily reinserted to serve as a seat for chilling in the yard, by the lake, at the beach – or anywhere, really.

Bitchin’ Sunglasses

Los Angeles-based supplier Shark Eyes (asi/86597) showcased these polycarbonate UV400 sunglasses (SPT10). The look mimics the Pit Viper-inspired style that’s incredibly popular now with younger audiences. “High schools, colleges, tech companies, breweries – we’ve done these for a lot of end-clients lately,” explained Shark Eyes sales rep Joey Parks. The sunglasses could be an excellent solution for travel baseball teams too, as well as Spring Break-related promotions, company picnics, summer outings, and more.

New Tech & Golf Drybox Kits

Fort Collins, CO-based supplier Otterbox (asi/75326) spotlighted new products that included the Drybox Power Kit and Drybox Golf Kit – both of which can make a timely branded gift as the weather warms (and beyond).

The Power Kit, as Otterbox business development representative Jake Atteberry shared, features a brandable case and contents that include a power bank, three-in-one cable, car charger and wall charger. The Golf Kit includes three golf balls, a divot repair tool, five tees and a ball marker.

The Power Kit is an ideal fit for automobile dealerships that want to gift them to customers who’ll be taking to the road for spring and summer road trips. The Golf Kit is a surefire solution for any golf activation, Atteberry said. Multiple suppliers carry Otterbox, as you can find on ESP and ESP+.

Name Brand Reusable Drinkware

Folks get thirsty in those hot months, and branded reusable drinkware can help with that as they engage in outdoor activities. The category has exploded in popularity. In 2021, for example, drinkware accounted for its highest percentage of industry sales ever, according to the most recently available data from the Counselor State of the Industry report.

Great drinkware options abounded in Fort Worth. They included the Hurley Oasis 40-oz. vacuum-insulated travel mug, which earned ample attention at the booth of Top 40 supplier Logomark (asi/67866).

The retail brand name and styling were part of the draw of the tumbler, which is made of food-grade 18/8 stainless steel. Its double-wall, vacuum-insulated construction and copper lining provide extra temperature retention to keep a drink cold for at least 30 hours or hot for up to 12 hours. The lid features 3-in-1 functionality for sipping, swigging or slurping and the included straw fits snuggly into the silicone opening. The Oasis has a narrow base that will fit in most standard car cup holders, Logomark said.

Imprinted Golf Balls

Craft Signs & Specialty Printing (asi/47008) had a putting green at its booth. That was more than appropriate, since one of the key items the Fort Worth, TX-based supplier highlighted was imprinted golf balls. Craft’s capabilities also include wide-format printing of signs and banners. The direct-to-substrate printing on golf balls to produce clear images and logos was especially interesting to distributors, who stopped by during the show to discuss upcoming client events.
