In a deal announced Wednesday, Somerville, MA-based Grossman Marketing Group (asi/215205) made its fourth acquisition in as many years when it purchased New York-based Logos in Print (asi/255491). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Principals at Grossman Marketing, a 108-year-old fourth-generation print and promotional products company, said that Logos in Print will help Grossman grow its already-expanding presence in the healthcare and education markets, particularly in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
“Logos in Print is a great fit for us and will complement our existing products and services, which include full-service graphic design, a network of company-owned warehouses and production facilities, multi-media solutions, and a dedicated technology team building best-in-class e-commerce programs for our clients,” said Ben Grossman, co-president of Grossman Marketing Group.
In an interview with Counselor, Grossman said that Grossman Marketing Group generated revenue of approximately $33 million in 2017. Going forward, Logos in Print is expected to make a “significant contribution” toward sales, he said.
To operate as a division of Grossman Marketing Group, Logos in Print will continue to go to market under its current name, Grossman told Counselor. Owners Cecile and Michael McBride, along with their team, will remain involved in the business.
Founded in 1972, Logos in Print has focused on providing promotional product solutions for major hospitals, universities and business in the New York Tri-State area. The firm has won industry awards for creativity and excellence. “We share the same mission (as Grossman Marketing Group), which is to help businesses create long-lasting relationships with their clients through the power of promotional products,” said Michael McBride.
Grossman Marketing Group’s acquisition of Logos in Print comes on the heels of three other recent acquisitions: ASAP, a Norwalk, CT promotional products firm; Fleet Business Products of East Hartford, CT; and Premier Marketing Group of Manchester, ME.
Headquartered just outside of Boston with additional operations in places that include Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and Washington, D.C., Grossman Marketing Group’s client base features several high-profile sports teams, hospitals, educational institutions and business entities. Prominent clients include the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Columbia University, Harvard University, Tufts University, Hewlett-Packard, John Hancock, L.L.
