Outdoor Cap Taps Transportation Industry Pro to Take Over Lead Customer Experience Position

Michelle Thomas joins the Top 40 supplier with a track record of success at Uber Freight and J.B. Hunt Transport, executives said.

That’s an advantage that Top 40 promo product supplier Outdoor Cap (asi/75420) is looking to build upon with the appointment of Michelle Thomas as head of customer experience.

Thomas comes to the Bentonville, AR-based headwear supplier following a nearly 25-year career in the transportation industry. She was most recently director of strategic account management at Uber Freight – a role that had her building customer relationships with top national accounts.

Prior to Uber Freight, Thomas spent about 20 years at J.B. Hunt Transport, rising through various sales and marketing positions to take on roles that included director of customer experience and senior business analyst.

According to Outdoor Cap, Thomas’ goals center on exceeding customer expectations by providing an excellent experience in every interaction. Suppliers have previously told ASI Media that overall service levels should be improved in 2023 over 2022.

Outdoor Cap debuted on Counselor’s Top 40 list of the industry’s largest suppliers in 2022. The firm ranked 28th based on 2021 North American promotional product revenue of $51.2 million.
