Spector & Co. Opens New Location to Serve More U.S. Customers

The facility, near the Las Vegas Strip, will offer value-added services to a growing client base, according to the company.

Spector & Co. (asi/88660) is expanding its footprint into the U.S.

The Montreal, QC-based hard-goods supplier is opening a 100,000-square-foot facility – what the company calls a “state-of-the-art factory and merchandising studio” – close to the Las Vegas Strip. Spector & Co. says the new location will offer more value to the company’s growing distributor customer base, particularly those clients in the Midwestern and Western regions of the U.S.

“U.S. expansion has been an objective of ours for some time now,” says CEO Rob Spector. “With the recent hiring of new team members in IT, logistics, production and fulfillment, we feel very good about taking this strategic step to better support our distributors.”

Spector adds that, in addition to improved logistics and fulfillment for more U.S. customers – and a resulting reduction in carbon emissions due to shorter transportation times – the new facility will be positioned as a meeting and ideation space for distributor customers with end-clients that exhibit at large Vegas shows, such as CES for the tech industry and MAGIC for the fashion industry.

“We look forward to hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony with our customers and local community leaders,” says Spector. “Once operational, we’ll be able to provide our specialized kitting and fulfillment service to make it easier to configure and deliver custom kits at scale.”

In addition to Montreal and Las Vegas, Spector has a location in Dongguan, China. Earlier this year, the supplier rolled out virtual product samples powered by augmented reality in order to enhance its sustainability efforts.
