Chocolate Inn/Lanco Launch Apparel Decorating Service

The Top 40 firm says the new venture provides vivid multi-colored screen printing, high-quality embroidery and more.

Top 40 promotional products supplier Chocolate Inn/Lanco (asi/44900) has launched a new contract apparel decorating service.

Lanco Contract Printing Services (asi decorator/738101), as the new venture is named, offers an array of sought-after embellishment mediums, company executives said.

Capabilities include vibrant multi-colored screen printing, 3D embroidery, pad printing, direct-to-garment digital printing, glitter and rhinestone embellishments, heat transfers (including full-color sublimation), and specialty inks like glitter, metallic and glow-in-the-dark. Lanco Contract Printing Services also has graphic designers that can assist distributors in coming up with creative looks for end-clients’ apparel.

“As our contract decorating services expanded and the requests from our distributor client base for such services grew exponentially, we made a decision to add a standalone brand and robust website (www.lancoprinting.com) dedicated exclusively to these services,” said David Miller, president of Chocolate Inn/Lanco.

Decoration and shipping will occur in-house at the company’s 100,000-square-foot facility in Ronkonkoma, NY, an arrangement that will lead to top-notch quality control and fast turnaround times, Miller said.

As part of the contract services, Lanco Printing will embellish apparel that distributors have bought from other suppliers. Additionally, Lanco Printing is offering distributors another option by which it will procure the wearables to be decorated, thereby allowing distributors to receive one invoice for both the decorating and the apparel.

“It’s a one-invoice solution that we believe will make distributors’ lives easier,” Scott Slade, a Chocolate Inn/Lanco executive, told Counselor.

Offering more than 3,000 products in categories that range from confectionary mints to hard goods and more, Chocolate Inn/Lanco increased sales 12% year-over-year in 2018 – an ascent that propelled the firm four places higher on Counselor’s 2019 ranking of the largest suppliers in the promo industry. With reported 2018 North American promotional product revenue of $55 million, Chocolate Inn/Lanco ranked 29th on the list.
