Employees also enjoy a range of perks and benefits that let them know they’re appreciated. These include summer flex hours and long holiday weekends (Friday and Monday off for most federal holidays).

COVID Changes: Remote work wasn’t something Tic Toc did prior to the pandemic, so when the company left its office space as COVID burst into everyday life, it took some adjusting. Says Harley: “We utilized a lot of team Zoom calls, transitioning some of our most beloved company events to a ‘party-in-a-box’ delivered to homes. We also continued B2E [business-to-employee] competitions, with virtual messaging and sharing lots of pictures. Ultimately, we adapted quite well.”

These days, Tic Toc is in the office full-time again, with employees able to work remotely one day a week – another appreciated perk. “We returned,” notes Harley, “to a new office space in June.”

Parting Tip: “Surround yourself with quality people and treat others the way you would like to be treated,” Harley advises. “It will result in a healthy culture of brand first, agency second, self last.”
