Hassler’s career includes time as an accountant and loan analyst. He joined Starline in 2012 and rose through the ranks, most recently serving as chief financial officer.

“Our family's deep-rooted belief in the importance of a corporate family itself has been the heartbeat of our organization for over 50 years,” said Lapsker. “Jeff started his Starline career as a cost accountant, and in the span of a decade, he's become an indispensable part of our company. With unwavering support and unshakeable dedication, his commitment to Starline, and most importantly, our people, embodies the very principles upon which Starline was founded.”

Brian Porter, chief revenue officer at Starline, said that Hassler’s guidance has helped drive sales growth and innovations in decoration offerings. “I have no doubt that with his experience and knowledge of the industry, we will continue our long-standing reputation for top-tier service and innovation,” Porter said.

Lapsker joined Starline in 2005. Since then, he has worked in a variety of departments, from customer service to purchasing to marketing to being sales manager of the company’s Ontario territory. He was also president of Canadian operations.

Lapsker’s rise to CEO continues a tradition of family leadership.

His grandfather, the late Joshua Lapsker, founded Starline in 1969. Joshua Lapsker was a Russia-born Israeli who eventually settled in Montreal. He would forge a long career in the promo space. During his time in promotional products, Lapsker filed more than 40 patents.

Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $57.9 million, Starline ranked 33rd on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
