St Regis Group (asi/84592; Canada, asi/84595) has appointed a new member of the C-suite.

The executive, a Chartered Professional Accountant, brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and business roles to his new position and will report to CEO Mark Waisbrod.

Most recently, Waltman was head of finance for Canada at U.S./Canadian firm Primo Water Corporation, where he oversaw accounting, planning, reporting and financial management.

“Jesse brings tremendous knowledge and proven judgment to the role, and his deep operational and financial experience will help us unlock both growth and operational efficiency,” said Richard Firkser, president and founder of St Regis Group. “In addition to leading strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax and finance operations, Jesse will focus on identifying and executing strategic opportunities to drive the company forward and help us gain market share.”

Waltman earned an Honors B.A. in accounting and a master’s of accounting from the University of Waterloo, as well as an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois and the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.

“I’m humbled and honored to be joining such a great company that puts our distributor partners and their customers at the center of everything we do,” said Waltman. “I couldn’t be happier to have come on board at such a transformative time with the opportunity to help St Regis drive profitable growth through innovation coupled with both organic and inorganic development.”

Waltman’s appointment follows the announcement in July that Mark Waisbrod would be assuming the CEO position at St Regis when Firkser became president. Waisbrod had been the chief operating officer at St Regis since 2011. Earlier in the summer, the supplier announced new partnerships with luggage company TUMI and French fashion brand Cacharel. The company also released its first-ever ESG report in April.
