ASB Honors Sales Associates at Annual Summit in Lake Tahoe

The Top 40 distributor said this year’s American Summit generated the best attendance of any in the Minnesota-headquartered company’s history.

Celebration, education, networking and giving back all figured into an annual summit hosted by one of the largest distributors in the promotional products industry.

Held last week in Lake Tahoe, CA, the “American Summit” of Top 40 distributor American Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075) saw company sales associates from around the United States gather and receive recognition for their achievements over the past year.

A three-day affair, the evenings were augmented by social events that suppliers sponsored. There were also opportunities for distributor sales professionals to grow their knowledge at morning and afternoon sessions hosted by suppliers.

Dana Zezzo, vice president of marketing, vendor relations and events at ASB, said the 2023 American Summit generated the highest attendance of any such Summit in the company’s history.

“The dedication of our teams, sales associates and supplier partners is evident in each Summit event that we host,” Zezzo said.

ASB favors integrating a charitable component into events, and this year’s Summit was no exception. Attendees donated about $10,000 – money that will go to support Keep Tahoe Blue, a conservation nonprofit that works to protect and restore the environmental health and scenic beauty of the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Everything at the event, from the charitable giving and recognitions to networking and social interaction, created a lasting positive feeling, said ASB founder/CEO Larry Zavadil, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people.

“What a beautiful location and collection of individuals to have at this year’s Summit,” Zavadil said. “I never get tired of seeing the hugs from people meeting for the first time, or reuniting for the 20th time. I’m excited to see the new connections that blossom from the networking last week.”

In business for 42 years, ASB ranked 12th on Counselor’s most recent list of the 40 largest distributors in the North American promotional products industry based on reported 2022 domestic revenue (U.S. and Canada) of $273.6 million.
