Obituary: Ralph J. Button, Battlefield Advertising

Ralph J. Button, formerly of Battlefield Advertising in Stoney Creek, ON, passed away at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton on Saturday, Oct. 5. He was 73.

Born on April 28, 1946, Button was the owner of Battlefield Advertising and had recently sold the business upon his retirement. He was also an active member of Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC).

He is survived by Susan (née Moore), his wife for 48 years, as well as children Kevin (Bella), Kristofer (Christina), Kyle (Iza) and Michelle Lomas (Chad); and grandchildren Lourdes, Joaquin, Zara, Jonathan, Zack and Abigail. He was the brother of Win Oliver (the late Ron) and Keith (Terry), and he was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Thelma Button, and brother Norm (the late Pat).

The family will receive visitors at Smith’s Funeral Home, 454 Highway #8 in Stoney Creek, ON, on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 3 to 5 p.m., and from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the same location on Friday, Oct. 11 at 10:30 a.m., with cremation to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Rotary International Foundation’s End Polio Now Campaign or the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre in Hamilton.
