The Next Trend Designs (TNT, asi/283375) announces that president and chief inventor Rob Charlton and vice president and CEO Janine Taylor were invited to appear on CBC’s Dragons’ Den to pitch products for New Age Performance Inc., their new venture. The startup company produces performance-enhancing athletic mouthpieces featuring patented Dimensional Stabilizer technology that helps to instantly align and stabilize the jaw, which increases balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion and oxygen flow, and also protects teeth from damage due to grinding.

Charlton appeared on the show alongside international neuromuscular dentist Dr. Anil Makkar; Canadian competitive eater and YouTube star “Furious Pete” Czerwinski; and sponsored athlete Brian Shaw, also known as “The World’s Strongest Man,” who demonstrated the benefits of wearing the mouthpieces.
The team initially requested an investment based on a $1 million evaluation, and received offers based on an evaluation as high as $3 million.
“Dragons’ Den is such a hard show to land on and we are elated that we got a great deal,” said Charlton, in a statement. “Words simply cannot describe how we feel. We now have a solid investment for our marketing initiatives from some of the nation’s most notable business gurus. This is big news for TNT and New Age.”
