PERFORMANCE TEES
Recommended Printing Techniques:

Sublimation
Recommended settings should be based on print trials and overall observations of fabric performance, dependent on:
• Paper quality
• Temperature
• Dwell time
• Pressure

Improper machine setup could result in poor print quality and garment damage, such as:
• Fabric scorching
• Transfer lines
• Gassing out

Screen Printing
Use performance inks with either a white or gray underbase to neutralize the color of migrating dye particles and prevent dye migration.

Heat Transfer
Use high-quality paper with proper temperatures, dwell times and pressures.

Because performance apparel is typically made from polyester, these three methods are great choices. Sublimation works best on 100% polyester clothing in lighter colors to ensure imprints appear vibrant and adhere properly. For darker colors, screen printing is an excellent (and cost-effective) option. You can also use heat transfer for performance tops, especially if clients need small orders for specific athlete or team names.
