It’s a new year, and if one thing has become clear, it’s that the promo industry – and the world at large – is constantly changing. Have you updated your sales tactics to speak to current times? Distributor Tip #1: Look for low minimums. 

While of course we all want large quantity orders, smaller projects are also essential in building up your customer base and fulfilling every need your clients come to you with – some may only need a few pieces. Don’t make the mistake of turning away these projects because of small quantities, as this could result in you missing out on big profits.

For example, that small business coming to you for a dozen customized awards could come back a few months later needing 1,000 T-shirts for an upcoming trade show. That nonprofit needing a few personalized donor thank-you gifts may need hundreds of reusable sports bottles and tote bags for their next charity run.

Plain and simple: one small order could lead to larger orders in the future. If you impress clients on their small quantity orders now, you’ll be the first person they call when they’re ready to invest in more promo later on.
