Episode 97: Are Stories Worth Your Time?

ASI’s Vinnie Driscoll and Elieza Bague debate one of social media’s hottest features.

What’s the value of a piece of social media content that disappears after 24 hours? Depends on who you ask.

Younger generations, like millennials and Gen Z, seem to embrace ephemeral photos and videos that are automatically deleted from social platforms after a day. The older generations, like Gen X, are a little less enthusiastic about them.

Regardless of what you think, Stories are incredibly hot and now offered by most social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and even TikTok.

In this spirited Social Angle podcast, first streamed live on Facebook, ASI’s social media team of Vinnie Driscoll and Elieza Bague discuss the pros and cons of Stories, how to create them and why a business should start using them. The two also offer their thoughts on creating meme content based around controversial events, like Will Smith’s slap of Chris Rock at the Oscars.

If you’re in the dark about using ephemeral content for your business, it’s Story time and you’re invited!
