Neil Ringel Discusses PCNA’s Sustainability Initiative

The Top 40 supplier launched ProudPath this week, which it is hoping will be a comprehensive, turnkey platform that will help promo distributors communicate their environmental and social efforts with confidence.

This week, Top 40 supplier Polyconcept North America (PCNA, asi/78897) launched ProudPath, a new platform to help promotional products distributors meet their customers’ environmental and social responsibility objectives. In this episode of Promo Insiders, ASI Media’s Theresa Hegel talks with Neil Ringel, CEO of PCNA, about why the supplier wants to be seen as a leader in this space and how he hopes ProudPath will be a call to action to the entire promo community.

“We’re hoping that this brings awareness and that it really helps our distributors when they get asked a question,” said Neil Ringel. When a client asks about compliance standards, whether a product is ethically sourced are certified, “We can help them answer those questions and give them comfort that we’ve got their back,” he added.”

Ringel also discussed how PCNA is working to meet its ambitious sustainability goals. “It’s a bunch of little things that eventually add up to big things,” Ringel explained. The supplier, for instance, has swapped out all the lighting at its plants for more energy-efficient LED fixtures. The product development team is working hand in hand with the team in Asia to ensure that packages are as small as possible, to help maximize how many products can be shipped in a container, serving the dual purpose of creating less waste and reducing carbon emissions.
