Salt Lake City-based HandStands Promo (asi/59525) has acquired Seattle-based Upcycle Goods (asi/92767), the companies have announced. Financial terms of the deal, made public on November 8, were not disclosed. Per the agreement, Upcycle will become a standalone brand under the HandStands’ umbrella in 2018. All Upcycle employees will be retained and going forward owner Darron Losse will serve as HandStands’ VP of key accounts.
“I am thrilled with the Upcycle Goods product line and welcome Darron Losse to the HandStands family,” said Rodd Steuart, CEO and president of HandStands. “Darron is a true professional who brings over 20 years of industry experience to HandStands. I look forward to continuing the building of the Upcycle Goods and Handstands businesses.”
Founded in 2014, Upcycle Goods has become a market leader in using recycled materials in its promo products. The company has worked with major brands like Microsoft, Apple, HP, AT&T, GE, Home Depot, Boeing, Dr. Pepper, Google, and more.
“We are really excited to team up with such an incredible group of people, and continue to build on HandStands’ cutting-edge product mix and award-winning team,” said Losse. “I see great things coming from our synergy together as we grow.”
