Chocolate Inn/Lanco Announces Rebrand

The company’s product lines will be combined under the NC Custom name.

Top 40 supplier Chocolate Inn/Lanco (asi/44900) announced that it has brought its subsidiaries together under the name NC Custom, along with a new combined website and sales force, in order to integrate all of its product offerings.

Moving forward, NC Custom, the promotional products division of Nassau Candy, will become the brand name for Chocolate Inn, Lanco and ACE USA, a new line of custom outdoor apparel and hard goods that NC Custom recently acquired. Nassau Candy, based in Hicksville, NY, is a manufacturer and wholesale supplier of confectionery, gourmet food and private label/customized travel and resort products.

“We’ve found our customers wanted a one-stop-shop where they can purchase and combine items from all our brands, which was the inspiration for the new website,” said Lance Stier, CEO of NC Custom, in a statement. “We brought together all of these items under a common design element, as we have done with success in the retail markets. This new design, along with improved searchability and enhanced sales tools for our distributors, all help round out the customer experience and drive sales.”

The company will retain each of the three brand names to identify specific product lines: Chocolate Inn will continue to offer personalized food and gifts, and Lanco will remain the company’s affordable hard and soft good product line, which includes health and beauty items. NC Custom will introduce the ACE USA line, including national parks-themed and resort-inspired apparel and hard goods, during a limited Q4 rollout and launch the full line in Q1 of 2022.

The new website includes enhanced features such as an integrated product search across all three product lines; auto-detection of the user’s country (U.S. or Canada); downloadable client-friendly sales tools; themed collections; and more.

“As we continue to grow and acquire new and exciting brands to offer our customers, it only made sense to refresh the company name and look for a more integrated branding experience,” said David Miller, president of NC Custom. “While the name might have changed, one thing will remain – our dedication to offering all customers concierge-level service.”

With reported 2019 North American promotional product revenue of $60.5 million, Chocolate Inn/Lanco ranked 25th on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest suppliers in the industry. The new list is due out in July.
