Phoenix-based Sharp Incentives (SI) has purchased multi-line rep firm BrandSource Incentives (BSI), the companies have announced. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal expands Sharp Incentives’ territory from the Rocky Mountain region and Southwest U.S. into the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. In the Pacific Northwest, Sharp will continue to use the BSI name. Julie Kimmerly, a BSI sales executive based in Kirkland, WA, will join SI’s staff, bringing its total number of employees in sales, service and operations to seven.
Effective June 30, Vilia Johnson, BSI’s president, will retire. She will stay on, though, serving as an advisor to ensure a smooth transition for suppliers. “We have always strived to develop real partnerships for success with our customers. Our business has been thriving, particularly in the last two years and I’m really proud of what we have accomplished,” says Johnson.
Founded in 2008, BSI has represented leading brands in the incentives and promo products markets. SI, meanwhile, opened in 2004, and is led by Tasha Sharp, a current member and former president of the Incentive Marketing Association Board.
“With Tasha’s knowledge and experience, BrandSource Incentives will continue to be the go-to source for top retail brands in the Northwest and to provide responsive and quality service,” said Johnson.
