Cliff Quicksell Jr. Earns Certified Speaking Professional Designation

The promo veteran has more than 35 years of experience and is a frequent speaker for ASI Show.

Cliff Quicksell Jr., president and CEO of Cliff Quicksell & Associates (asi/825111), is making a splash for his public speaking experience.

The frequent speaker at ASI’s national trade shows recently earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association (NSA). Established in 1980, the CSP designation is the speaking profession’s international measure of speaking experience and skill; it’s given by the NSA to speakers who meet strict criteria, including documented proficiency over a minimum of five years and positive evaluations from clients. The speakers also must be evaluated and affirmed through a peer-review process. Only 17% of NSA members worldwide have received the designation, according to the association’s website.

“I was so excited to hear the news,” Quicksell said. “I have been so dedicated to sharing my expertise with multiple organizations around the world; it has been and continues to be very fulfilling.”

Quicksell was one of 36 people to earn the CSP in 2023 and was honored this week during a ceremony in Orlando at NSA’s summer conference.

“The CSP designation is the highest earned designation in the speaking profession and is incredibly difficult but rewarding to receive,” said Jamie Nolan, president and CEO of NSA. “Earning this designation means a speaker has demonstrated extraordinary platform skills, expertise, eloquence and ethics.”

Quicksell has more than 35 years of experience speaking, training and consulting internationally to associations and national business groups on more effective ways to market themselves, their products and services, as well as on how to motivate their personnel. Earlier this year, the promo products veteran and consultant shared tips on packaging and outsourcing to a packed classroom at ASI Fort Worth.
