Top 40 distributor Proforma (asi/300094) has announced that one of its affiliate owners has inked a major deal.

Mike Durkee, owner of Charlotte, NC-based Proforma Durkee, has acquired a $2 million distributor focused exclusively on the medical market. Durkee is a member of Proforma’s $5 Million Dollar Club with 2019 sales of over $6 million.

“The Proforma mergers and acquisitions team generated the lead and helped with negotiations and documentation,” Durkee said in a press release. “Proforma’s leading, fully integrated business management and e-commerce technology platforms were also a major factor. The seller aligned with our corporate vision and felt that with our go-to market strategies, he could earn more money and focus on what he enjoys most.”

With over 40 years of experience and nearly $500 million in sales, Proforma is a leader in technology and business success in the promotional products industry. Twenty-five of its affiliate owners were named to Inc. Magazine’s 2019 list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies. Additionally, Proforma celebrated 193 affiliate owners reaching its annual Million Dollar Club with sales ranging from $1 million to $40 million.
