Presiding over the company founded in 1978, Greg and Vera Muzzillo oversaw another strong year for Proforma, as the Top 40 distributor grew sales 15% in 2022, from $541 million to $620 million. But as always with this duo, it’s the company’s people and its offerings, particularly in the area of technology, that the Muzzillos really point to as the true differentiators.

The examples are countless: bolstering its management team with hirings and promotions of top talent like Charity Gibson as CMO, Evan Gall as vice president of sales and Greg Armstrong as chief sales officer; driving its members’ sales growth through proprietary platforms like ProVision – Proforma’s business management platform – and ProStores, its e-commerce solution; and holding enthusiastic and energetic annual events like the company’s Annual Convention & Family Reunion, the Million Dollar Club trip and its annual Women’s Session. They all demonstrate how the Muzzillos are omnipresent when it comes to showing up for their people.

In early October, Proforma achieved a significant milestone by securing the 126th position on the prestigious Franchise Times Top 400 list, marking a substantial leap from the company’s 2022 ranking at #159. Additionally, 32 of Proforma’s distributor owners have been named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America this year, with 2023’s list having a record number of Proforma owners, according to Vera, the distributor’s CEO. “I am inspired by their relentless pursuit of growth and grateful for the collective efforts that have made this accomplishment possible,” said Muzzillo, who was presented in April with Tampa Bay Business & Wealth magazine’s 2023 Technology Business Woman of the Year award. “Proforma maintained its strong performance in 2023 due to its continued focus on best-in-class sales and marketing programs driven by automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.”
