Brandon Mackay and Brittany David move up six spots thanks to positive marks on the Power 50 survey from the industry at large. The rise can also be traced to the fruits of a campaign earlier this year to show that the Top 40 supplier has overcome its integration troubles from last year’s acquisition of Sweda – efforts that included a Counselor 2023 Promo Campaign Awards for Best Use of Video. Mackay, David and the leadership team have also pushed for heavy investments in technology and personnel, including hiring 20 customer service reps and upgrading the phone system.

“I’m excited to move forward with the next chapter of SnugZ,” says David. “Last year we were eyeballs deep in the integration of Sweda. This year we’ve really focused on alignment. We have an incredible team and I’m excited to see us in full stride as we keep going.”

Mackay, who was recently selected to be a manufacturing delegate to travel to Mexico with Utah Governor Spencer Cox for a trade and business exploration summit, says continuing education is a primary focus for him, and he recently completed a 5-year business scaling course at the London School of Business in April.

Not surprisingly for someone who was named Counselor’s 2019 Bess Cohn Humanitarian of the Year, Mackay along with David have continued SnugZ’s significant involvement in charitable efforts. “I love our Basecamp line and the giveback to Wounded Warrior Project,” says David, who was voted this year into the International Women’s Forum. “I’ve enjoyed getting to know their team and be even more involved with the organization. Their mission to honor and empower wounded warriors is inspiring and it’s incredible to hear so many warrior stories first-hand and know the impact they, and in turn we, have.”
