The elder Simsolo is joined this year by his son Eric, who took on a greater role in the company with the departure of chief sales officer Mark Seymour (who was replaced in October by former alphabroder executive Jason Buchanan). The pair move up three spots this year, thanks to Next Level’s reputation for cool, fashion-forward style and its quick pivot into making certified surgical face masks with a proprietary fabric and finish. The Simsolos have also taken steps in recent years to expand Next Level internationally, partnering with firms in the U.K. and Germany.
