Company Culture: “Our employees are our number-one priority,” says Margaret Dengler, director of sales and marking for Midnite Snax (asi/71685), “and they know it.” The food supplier received perfect scores from employees when asked if they would recommend Midnite Snax as a good place to work – a reflection of how earnest the company is in supporting its team. Dengler says the company treats each employee with honesty and respect, and “turns the traditional organizational chart upside down” by having ownership supporting the staff from beneath. “We’re here to enable our employees to rise to the occasion every day and maximize their potential for their own personal and professional gain,” she adds.

COVID Changes: As a supplier and manufacturer, staying on-site is a must for Midnite Snax. The company has implemented numerous safety precautions, including a new ventilation system that releases virus-killing ions, air purifiers throughout its facility, and continued mask and social distancing protocols.

The good news? The fun hasn’t stopped. “We’ve worked very hard to maintain a very ‘normal’ office environment despite the abnormal conditions that exist in the world today,” Dengler says. Bagels on Wednesdays, full breakfasts, company lunch outings, Halloween and Super Bowl parties, even an off-site bowling night – all are part of the company’s way of showing appreciation.

And according to Dengler, Midnite Snax has also significantly upgraded its employee benefits package in the past year “to make sure during these challenging times that our employees have the best medical coverage to provide for themselves and their families.” That includes VIP testing services for employees in need.

Parting Tip: Says Dengler: “We make an effort every day to treat our employees the way we would want to be treated, and we believe it shows.”
