Company Culture: Williams & Associates (asi/360450) deals in promotional products, but humor may be a close second. “We’re a bunch of jokers,” says Miya Pilster, senior account executive and vendor liaison. “We like to laugh and live life. The ability to see the positive in all things and laugh together is why we love working here.”

Employees know that “family comes first,” says Pilster. Mothers have brought their infants in after coming back from maternity leave. Dogs are a common sight in the company’s Arizona and Hawaii offices. Everyone is fully supported, which creates a highly collaborative work environment. “We have each other’s back,” says Pilster. “We help anyone who asks. We strive for success and have the same work ethic which helps in bringing us all together.”

COVID Changes: Except for a couple remote sales staff, most employees at Williams & Associates are currently working in the office. During the pandemic, the company has brought in hundreds of thousands of masks to help keep employees, their families and the community as safe as possible. The space in the company’s main Tucson office also allows employees to properly social distance while working in person.

With three offices across two states, Williams & Associates has always made communication a priority. The company still holds weekly meetings and continues to share successes.

Parting Tip: “Word-of-mouth and referrals are crucial,” says Pilster about finding employees. “We’ve had the best people come in based off of knowing someone who’s already here.”
