The return of in-person events and market share growth were key reasons for Showdown’s impressive 46.4% revenue increase. Last year, the Brooklyn Center, MN-based supplier had a goal of topping its pre-pandemic sales, and it certainly did that, with a 19% increase over 2019’s total. “In 2020, the signs & display category fell the furthest and hardest of any other category,” says CEO John Bruellman. “When the market began to normalize in 2021, we saw an increase, but large in-person gatherings like trade shows and sports events really didn’t come back in full until 2022 – our second and third quarters were unbelievable.” The company also won the Contact Center World’s 2022 Global Gold Award for customer service. Top initiatives for 2023 include continued growth and ERP implementation.
