It was a strong year for Summit Group, as the Silver Spring, MD, distributor increased revenue by 50.5% and even topped its 2019 revenue of $66 million. CEO Michael Harper says the company had several large client projects that drove a sizable portion of the growth. “By engaging more strategically with new and existing clients, we positioned ourselves to win more sizable opportunities,” he says. Summit also bulked up its tech offering by investing in a new e-commerce platform and made continual improvements to its back-end systems. Regarding staffing, the company grew its team by over 40 people since 2021. “In addition to scaling our current teams,” Harper says, “we have added new expertise enabling us to enhance our service offerings.”
