Casey Pepper
Wildman Imprints (asi/326625)

Casey Pepper’s father-in-law started Wildman Imprints over 65 years ago, but it’s in the past decade that Pepper has spearheaded a shift at the Warsaw, IN-based company – a sales model in which he’s purely responsible for developing new business. After managing the sales of the company’s uniform and linens division, he now pursues potential accounts that fit a certain criteria. Once a deal is made, Pepper transfers the client’s business over to an in-house sales team, whose responsibility is to grow the account.

Pepper’s role fits the hunter’s mentality he has for sales. “I enjoy going out and landing new accounts,” says the vice president of sales. “You have to know how to get along with people.”

Adds Chris Nycz, division vice president at Wildman: “Casey is incredible at creating client relationships, establishing trust and driving creative top-line growth through new product ideas and different market segments.”

Gravitating toward the healthcare, hardware and financial industries, Pepper believes preparation is key in making a good first impression. Before meeting potential clients, he posts their company’s logo on a demo webstore customized for them, instantly making them feel valued. He and his team also meet with vendors once a month to update their sample kits, incorporating the hottest new products while staying up to date with the latest trends. “Technology is the biggest thing that separates us,” Pepper says. “We take our customers’ suggestions and have in-house programmers build requested features within a couple of months. When you combine our technology with our personal service, customers are simply blown away.”

Even though he’s solely responsible for keeping a steady flow of new customers coming through the door, Pepper is quick to credit his co-workers with maintaining those relationships and fueling the company’s impressive growth. “You have to have a good team around you to support the business,” he says. “Everybody chips in here.”
