Michel Jean-Marie Gendron of Toronto-based Gendron Sales Agency and a beloved member of the promotional products industry in Canada, passed away on Friday, May 10 after a brave nine-year battle with cancer. He was 66.

“Michel managed to live an incredibly full life despite the hardships often associated with treatments,” said the family in a statement. “His energy and passion for life, family and work was infectious and brought so much to those he touched on a daily basis…He had a tireless work ethic and a big smile, and was always welcomed with open arms by each and every one of his customers. His greatest joy in life (besides the HABS and the Beatles!) was to make people laugh and to ensure that everyone was having fun at work and at play.”

Gendron is survived by his wife Jan, sons Chris (Melissa), Jason and Bryan (Courtney), granddaughter Maggie and pets Oakley and Rigby.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, ON, L3Y 2P3, on Tuesday, May 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Wednesday, May 15 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre in Newmarket.
