Marvin Mittleman, owner of San Diego-based Iconic Promotions (asi/229576), passed away on Oct. 4. He was 57 years old.

Mittleman entered the promotional products industry in the early ʼ90s, working sales and operations for San Diego-based Custom Logos (asi/173183), which was co-founded by his brother Alan.

“Marv worked tirelessly and was an integral part of our success in those early years,” says Jeff Golumbuk, co-founder of Custom Logos. “Always willing to do whatever it takes, Marv lived with his brother when he arrived in town and utilized the company delivery truck as his mode of transportation. With a constant smile on his face, Marv was laser-focused on delivering great customer service.”

In 1995, Mittleman began a 20-year run as director of corporate sales for San Diego-based Pro Specialties Group (asi/299725). In 2016, he founded Iconic Promotions, which he operated until his passing.

Mittleman is survived by his children Emily, Max and Jamie, and his brothers Alan and Howard.
