Obituary: David Shaw

David Shaw, co-founder of Shaw Print & Promotion powered by HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000), passed away on January 13. He was 61.

Born June 24, 1957, Columbus, Ohio, lost his long battle with cancer on January 13, 2019. Dave was the son of Jay F. Shaw and Anne Halliday Shaw. Following graduation from Coshocton High School, Dave attended and graduated with a BS from Jacksonville University. His summer months during college, Dave returned home and worked as a night watchman at Shaw-Barton, a national calendar and promotional products company, located in Coshocton. Following graduation Dave joined his father and brother, Jeff at Shaw-Barton. It is there where he met his wife, Pam. In 1990 Dave resigned from Shaw-Barton with Jeff, to cofound Shaw Print & Promotion in Columbus. Dave retired from Shaw Print & Promotion in late 2014. In 2015, he was diagnosed with cancer. Dave was determined to help others battling cancer and volunteered at The Ohio State James Oncology Center. Throughout their years together, Dave and Pam enjoyed sharing their time with each other, family, friends, traveling and on the golf course.

Dave is survived by his wife, Pam; brothers Steve (Jody), Santa Fe, NM, Jeff (Joyce), Columbus, Bill, San Diego, CA; and many, nieces and nephews. The family extends a special Thank You to all the Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Volunteers at The Ohio State James Hospital and Kobacker House for the special compassion and care given to Dave during his courageous journey. Memorial Service will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends at a reception immediately following service until 6 P.M.
