A pioneer in the printing industry, Berman began his career at Farnsworth Press and then went into the brokerage space. When Dunkin’ Donuts reached 100 stores in 1965, founder William Rosenberg was already buying his print through Berman, according to the Printing Brokerage Buyers Association (PBBA).

When the PBBA was formed in 1974, Berman was a charter member and later chosen as Printing Broker of the Year. “A consummate salesman with as much humanity as the sum total of all of us who knew him, Berman holds the informal record of having sold the most printing by any individual in the New England states,” PBBA said in a press release.

He’s survived by his wife Evelyn, their son and their two daughters.
