Quarterback Dan Marino, Shark Tank judge Daymond John and Whole Foods cofounder John Mackey are all headlining at ASI shows in 2017 – an exciting lineup that will blow away the audience while inspiring members to shoot for the stars in their own businesses.
The theme for next year’s large trade shows in Orlando, Dallas and Chicago is “Creating Connections and Inspiring Creativity.” Our goal is to strengthen industry connections and motivate members to become more creative in future campaigns and client projects.
Registration for all 2017 ASI shows is now open, and it never hurts to get a jump on signing up.
ASI Show® Orlando kicks off the 2017 season Wednesday, January 18, through Friday, January 20, with Marino as keynoter. One of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL, Marino quarterbacked 17 seasons for the Miami Dolphins and was inducted into the pro football Hall of Fame in 2005.
Of all the honors Marino has received, I’m most impressed by his NFL Man of the Year, which recognizes the work he and his wife do for children and young adults with neurodevelopment disabilities (his son was diagnosed with autism).
In addition to discussing the importance of giving back, Marino will share stories about growing up in a working-class family in Pittsburgh and overcoming obstacles, as well as controversies. We’re also fortunate to have John Mackey, cofounder and co-CEO of Whole Foods, at ASI Show Dallas, which runs Wednesday, February 1, through Friday, February 3. Whole Foods started out with one small store in Austin, TX, in 1980 and is now a $16 billion Fortune 500 company with 455 mega-stores.
Like practically everyone, I’ve shopped at Whole Foods Market – and never knew Mackey cut his pay to $1 a few years back and now donates his future stock options to company foundations and to help staffers facing emergencies. Finally, I’m delighted Daymond John, co-host of the ABC hit reality business show Shark Tank, is returning as a keynoter for our final large trade show of the year, ASI Show Chicago, taking place Tuesday, July 11, through Thursday, July 13.
During our 2014 NYC show John wowed the audience – as Albert Galimidi, of Allegra Print & Imaging (asi/372155), said, John “lit the stage on fire” – sharing tips on building stronger personal and professional brands and boosting social media profiles.
Although he’s a big star, John is really down to earth, just like many others in our industry who built a business from scratch. Click here for tickets to John’s keynote.
