Dickies Outfits Green Bay Packers Outdoor Staff

Dickies, parent company of Dickies Occupational Wear (asi/49675), has partnered with the Green Bay Packers to provide workwear for stadium and security staff at Lambeau Field, during the 2017 football season.

Known as “The Frozen Tundra” during the winter months, Lambeau Field presents unique, weather-related challenges when it comes to maintenance, but the staff members taking care of the outdoor stadium also require protection from the elements. Security staff members are now outfitted in the Dickies Pro Glacier Extreme Puffer, a lightweight but insulated jacket with water-repellent properties. Field staff wear the Dickies Pro Frost Extreme Fleece, a 100% polyester zip-front jacket with water-repellent properties.

“Security and game-day staff have a lot riding on their shoulders given the level of work that goes into making sure our fans are safe and our facilities perform,” says Ted Eisenreich, director of facility operations for the Green Bay Packers. “Our workers need to feel comfortable, protected and we know Dickies provides exactly what they need to make sure they’re able to stay focused on game day.”

Brent Streit, vice president of marketing for Dickies, says the brand is well-suited to punishing climates: “What Dickies does well is craft tough, no-nonsense workwear at a price everyone can afford that can stand up to the outdoors.”

In addition to providing workwear, the Dickies brand name will appear on digital signs in the stadium, the official game-day program and other areas throughout the season.

The partnership with the Packers is not the only sports-related deal Dickies has forged. Earlier this year, the brand announced the title sponsorship of Dickies Arena, a 14,000-seat venue in Fort Worth, TX, set to open November 2019. The new arena is expected to host several rounds of the 2022 NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
