Vastex Relocates to Larger Facility

Screen-printing equipment maker Vastex International has relocated to a new headquarters and manufacturing facility on 8.25 acres in Bethlehem, PA. Previously, the company was based in nearby Allentown, PA.

“The new building is purpose-built for workflow efficiency,” says Mark Vasilantone, Vastex president. He explains that raw materials are received in one bay, before moving through the production process. Finished screen-printing equipment is loaded for shipment out three other bays.

The Vastex facility also houses dedicated space for new product development, administrative offices, meeting/conference spaces, an equipment showroom and a large hands-on classroom area with a full complement of screen-printing equipment for Vastex University, the company’s training program.

“We had expanded the previous plant into adjacent spaces twice and into a separate building to meet demand, but the new plant provides the layout as well as the growing room to produce equipment significantly faster and more efficiently,” Vasilantone says. He adds that the new building was design with a break-out wall, which will allow the company to expand once it reaches capacity in the future.

Vastex International is a family-owned business founded in 1960 and now in its third generation of ownership. The company manufactures manual screen-printing presses, athletic numbering attachments, infrared conveyor dryers, flash cure units and more.
