Primed for Printing: 100% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton

To kick off the new year, Next Level Apparel (asi/73867) is sharing a foolproof “Good, Better, Best” sales approach to their best-selling fabrics and apparel collections so you can start 2022 with strong sales and savvy client communications. We’re kicking things off with the “Good” collection of a time-tested and fan-favorite fabric, 100% combed ring-spun cotton.

First things first: What does this fabric feel like? After all, your clients don’t want to compromise on their promo apparel’s quality, even if it means cost savings. That won’t ever be the case with Next Level’s 100% combed ring-spun cotton. While most entry-point cotton garments use 100% cotton, most don’t use 100% ring-spun cotton. While they sound similar, these cotton types are vastly different. Regular cotton is more affordable but can also be stiff with little stretch or drape. On the other hand, ring-spun cotton is more refined (AKA less unwanted impurities) and super soft. Think about the feeling of your favorite broken-in tee before it’s ever been worn.

These comfortable, lightweight cotton shirts won’t only feel great, but they’ll also retain their shape, even after multiple washes. Remember: You want your client’s promo apparel to be kept and worn often, so it’s important to think about quality over time, beyond when orders first arrive. While you might save a few cents opting for regular cotton initially, if each branded shirt is thrown away after one use, it’s actually costing your clients more for each impression in the long run.

We’d be remiss to not talk about one of this fabric’s best selling points: its versatility for printers. The 100% cotton construction grabs ahold of color like no other, making it a preferred choice for all types of imprint methods: discharge, DTG (direct-to-garment) printing, heat transfer and screen-printing … you name it! How? Cotton is very easy to work with, with little risk of bleeding and dye migration. Because cotton is a natural fiber, it also absorbs ink easier than other man-made options, giving your clients a wide range of decoration choices that will all result in top-quality colors and graphics.

Now that your clients are sold on Next Level’s 100% ring-spun cotton, bring their branding ideas to life with endless color options. This is another easy way to work with clients who may have limited budgets. By opting for one of Next Level’s popular stock colors, you can avoid extra charges for PMS color matching. From subdued neutrals to vibrant pops of color, you’ll be able to find a shade and style that works perfectly for your client’s upcoming promotion.
