TREVOSE, PA – October 25, 2011 – The Advertising Specialty Institute today announced suppliers can now add safety and compliance product certifications to their supplier profiles in ESP, the industry’s largest searchable product database.
“With escalating concern for product safety and compliance in our industry, there couldn’t be a better time to announce that ASI has added a new feature to ESP that makes it easier for suppliers and distributors to do business together and view key info important to all,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. “When suppliers add safety and compliance info to their products on ESP, it delivers one-click confidence to distributors.”
ASI developed this ESP feature after consulting with members of the ASI Safety and Legislative Advisory Board. Here’s how the safety and compliance feature works:
For ASI suppliers
- All ASI suppliers who have password access to ESP Updates may add either PDF documents or links to safety and compliance documents. This info will appear on the supplier detail pages, which are viewed by more than 35,000 distributors using ESP.
- Safety and compliance information may be added by clicking on Manage Safety and Compliance Documents on the ESP Updates–Update Center page or by e-mailing info to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For ASI distributors
- Safety and compliance info can be found on ESP Web by clicking on the safety and compliance tab on a supplier’s detail page.
